flight leaves att around 5 pm Midwest--out of Milwaukee. Don't have access to birth cert--foreign. passport not lost just misplaced--I do have an expired DL same home address and can provide soc

It depends on where you are flying to. If you are flying outside of the US then chances are you will not be allowed to board the plane. These regulations are a part of the WHTI enacted by the US government which requires a valid passport for air travel outside of and into the US. Passports are not required for travel within the US. If you are flying within the US then you should not have any trouble as long as you have proper photo ID. The airline may accept an expired driver's license along with other ID if you have no other photo ID available. I would contact the airline and check with them as to what ID they require or will accept.
