First time flying with a layover. Has anyone flown to/from Milwaukee's airport

First time flying with a layover. Has anyone flown to/from Milwaukee's airport?
Obviously, I don't get to fly very often. I'm flying to LA for the OSU/USC game and have a layover in Milwaukee. I have 50 minutes between flights. I tried to get a longer layover, but unfortunately this was my only option at the time I booked my flight. I'm worried about missing the connecting flight and having to book a later one. Is this enough time to get my luggage, check in, and board the other flight?

Don't worry - once you arrive in Milwaukee, you won't need to get your luggage or check in again for your next flight. Your luggage will get transfered automatically and you will get both your boarding passes when you first arrive and check in (at your original departure airport). All you have to do is check the signs and go to the gate for your next flight. You'll also already be inside the security zone so you won't have to do security again either. 50 minutes could be a bit tight especially if your first flight is delayed. I don't know much about the Milwaukee airport but I don't think it's super huge. Don't stress about it though - the airline will accomidate you if there is a problem.

In a smaller airport, like Milwaukee's, 50 minutes should be more than enough time. Good luck!

you should not have to get your luggage, It will be check thru to your destination. Mil is not a huge airport and the layout is fairly tight. 50 min will be plenty to meet your flight Good luck and Go Buckeyes

it depends if you are connecting to the same airline wich im assuming you are. mikewaukee is a smaller airport and 50 minutes would be plenty...especially since you dont need to claim and recheck your luggage... it will continue on and you dont go thru security again. the only way you wouldnt make it is if your flight is delayed to weather or non weather related issues. in that case the airline will reacommodate you on another flight. dont stress. ive seen people make way shorter connections in milwaukee.
